REX CAMIT – Rex is a B.S. Geology graduate from the University of the Philippines. He has a M.S. degree in Geological Survey from the International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences (ITC-Enschede), the Netherlands and is presently working on his dual certificates in Environmental Engineering Science and Applied Digital Geography and GIS at Ryerson University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He started his geological career in 1987 at the Masbate gold exploration and development project of Atlas Consolidated Mines Corp. In 1990 he joined PNOC-EDC Geothermal Division where he worked on various roles as exploration geologist, wellsite geologist, remote sensing/GIS application specialist, and environmental geoscientist until 2002. Thereafter, he migrated to Canada and worked for a number of companies in Ontario in various capacities as mineral exploration geologist, GIS specialist and database manager. He had a short overseas stint in Azerbaijan. Presently, he is a mine production geologist of a gold mining company in Ontario. He is concurrently an associate-consultant with FEDS Energy.
